Default B18c1 @ 200k miles... good buy?

Some lady just hit my friend a few days ago and tore the front end off his car. Radiator is gone, I d/k about A/C. He's offering it to me for $1,000. This includes tranny. I'll prob have to replace the clutch. Sounds good but the motor is at 200k miles and his engine check light is on.

Would this be a good buy?

If I DID get it what problems could I expect?

Thanks for all your help guys.

I drove it, feels pretty strong, but the engine check light comes on sometimes. It sputters sometimes in idle. Maybe cause he was running straight headers or no exhaust.

lol, I don't have an Si. I drive an AT EX. I was going to get an Si to start off with but I couldn't because of funds. I'll eithe get an Si or a hatckback now. I'd most likely drop the motor in a hb. Thanks for the info bro.

I think that is a good price for the GSR engine, even with the high mileage.

Rebuild that bastard!
