b18c w/ b16 head vtec issue
well ill start off by saying im fairly new to the site. ive been on other honda forums but im finally making the transition to hondatech. so if this thread is in the wrong spot sorry
My issue is ive got a 95 gsr block with a 99 b16 head, and for some reason my vtec isnt working. I just swapped the motor and ive tried everything i know to try and get my vtec to work but nothing so far.
I cleaned the solenoid, checked my wiring at least 10 times, made sure it was properly grounded.
If anyone know anything i can try please lmk

Re: b18c w/ b16 head vtec issue
yup, my pressure switch it hooked up.
the car was running right between 1/4 and 1/2 on the temp gauge, but the radiator fan comes on so im assuming that its all the way warmed up and the coolant is running in the open loop.
is there any way to check if the ecu or solenoid are fried?

isnt there an o-ring under the center cam cap...might check it out....also, could you manually jump the solenoid with a 12v power source to see if it activates.
