Default B18C timing belt & water pump on a B16A...Will it work??

as the topic says,

Will a B18C timing belt and water pump work on a B16A. People say that it's the same and some say it's not. What's the answer?

I've got a new water pump and timing belt for a B18C, however, I had to "throw in the towel" on my B18C build-up and I am stuck with a B16A in need of basic maintenance.

Thanks in advance for the help.
