Default B18C into European EF9. I have the block, and a few questions. (searched)

I know this general topic has been discussed about 1 million times, but I couldn't find the answers to my questions.

I have a 1991 EE9 Civic with a b16a (stock). Can I swap just the block from an ITR into the Civic? I know that the gearbox fits, so that is no problem. What about ECU, wiring harness, etc.?

I would be really greatful for any help. I will be having a shop do this, but I would like to be informed as well.

Thanks!

Yes, the long block will go in while using the previous mounts of the B16A.

You will, however need to convert the long block to OBD0 and use your PR3/PW0 ECU and get it chipped to ITR specs, or you may convert to OBD1 using a chipped P28 to ITR specs, or go full blown, and re-wire a ton of ish to make your car OBD2 and run the P73 ECU with a jumper harness (if it's even made).

HTH.

I know I will have to change all the wiring to run ITR spec 8400rpm and whatnot, but can I also just use the current wiring and run b16a redline, at least until I get the rest?

The block has been completely rebuilt. 4 new pistons, rings, etc, so I will have to break it in just like a new block. I will be putting a lightened flywheel on as well since the motor is out anyway.

This leads me to another question: I had to change the pistons and everything because 2 of them had holes (valve retainers broke). I paid 700 for the new parts, and the owner wants 800 for the block. Does this seem like a fair price?

Thanks again!
