b18c into 94 del sol si....harness question
Dropped the motor in today. I knew the wiring was going to be on the oposite side of the engine bay but after looking at all of it (and really trying to keep a clean lookin engine bay) i've decided that i really dont want any part in splicing all that ****. I pretty sure there is a harness out there for my swap. Im looking for who makes it and where i can get it.
thanks for youR help guys

The harness you need to use is still on your D16Z6 you put it after yanking the motor out. You can easily reuse your factory Del Sol engine harness and then add any of the necessary wiring that the B18C lacks. If it's a GSR motor then you'll need to wire up the knock sensor and the IAB, if it's an ITR then just the knock sensor.
The only other issue that you might have is if the motor is OBD2, which then you would need to swap the distributor, injectors and alternator plugs. Overall, it's really an easy swap that you are doing considering that all of the VTEC wiring is already embedded into the chassis and engine harnesses.

Re: b18c into 94 del sol si....harness question (VTECVillain)
Well my problem is that my D16 was yanked like back last may. My shop is like an hour and a half from my house, so in the process of trailering and what not I'm missing some stuff from my old motor....namely that harness. I found this though....

the harness for the GSR is what im looking at I think thats what I need. Can someone verify for me? Sorry about the b-series swap question..im new here and didnt have the cash for a k20 or a something crazy like that.
The info is greatly appreciated thanks guys

Since you don't have the stock harness anymore, just look for a GSR harness. You'll only need to wire up the knock sensor and IAB, other than that it will be plug and play.
