B18c CRX Si. Need new head gasket. Do I ask for a B18c5?
I don't usually venture in "these parts" so pardon me being a stranger to this forum section. I have been chasing a mystery temp issue on my dedicated track car which is a modded B18c 88 CRX.
I took the head off to eliminate cracked head or head gasket issues. Pressure tested the head. It is fine. Need to put a new gasket back on but since head is JDM B18c I can't get that from Acura. Will a B18c5 head gasket be identical? I would think so but don't want to assume. The OEM MLS gaskets work just fine for my appilcation. I just want to get the right one.

Pardon my ignorance but if I want to call the Honda place for parts in that I bet I have a better chance getting a head gasket in stock there than the acura place which models in the honda should I ask for?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Like I said in the last thread, all B-Series VTEC head gaskets are the same. You can walk into your local Honda dealership and ask for one for a DelSol VTEC or a 99-00 Civic Si. Doesn't matter. Or you can order one off of Majestic. Or talk to Len. Whenever I need Acura specific parts that do not cross over to a Honda part, I deal with Len.
Edit: But in this case, you do not need to.
This is correct. 12251-P30-014 is the latest head gasket listed in both the Honda and Acura parts catalogs for all B-series VTEC engines (B17A1, B18C1, B16A3, B18C5, B16A2).
