B18c Auto into EG dx auto???
trying to do a GSR automatic swap into a dx automatic. I was wondering if anyone has done it and how to wire up the transmission? I already know how to do the wiring for the engine but as far as the tranny im stumped,,,,,
Not looking to do a manual swap because my buddy wants to keep it automatic and wont change his mind. So dont need any " swap to a 5 speed " comments. I know there has to be someone out there that has done this swap successfully. Already did a search and came up with nothing.
Thank in advance..

I don't think there is a auto GSR tranny (maybe JDM, I'm not sure), but the hardest part will be finding an auto DOHC vtec ecu (again, maybe you can find a JDM one), or run an LS auto ecu and run the vtec through a vtec controller.

I thought there were auto Gsr's, in the U.S.

I don't think there was ever a GSR auto in the US, there might be though, but I've never seen one.

there are no Auto GSR trannys in the US, but any B series tranny(automatic) will work. just need an Auto ECU. Just run run VTEC through a controller like stated before.

I was told wiring up the TCM for the auto tranny was a PITA and this was one of the few who did the auto LS swap into an auto civic. He told me I was better off geting the auto b16 tranny since they did not come with a TCM.

Motor is a JDM b18c auto w/p72 auto ecu. The wiring i need to know about is for the transmission control module ( tranny ECU ).

you would have to order the transmission ecu.. i am in the process of doing the B18c auto swap myself.. yea i jus order the transmission ecu and the plugs that connects it to the wiring harness for 150...

What you need:
Motor (duh)
B16 auto tranny
-you can get these at your local jdm engine importer for dirt cheap like 300 to 400 dollars
Auto p30 jdm ecu
-the jdm ones are smaller than us. get a skunk2 manifold so you dont have to wire up the secondaries. I had trouble wiring up the p72 auto ecu so I just went with the p30. I got my stuff from hmotorsonline.com. steve is not a people person but he hooked me up.
Good luck-peace
