B18B1 swap Question, Will a stock 95 civic radiator be good enough??
I am wondering this because I am concerned that the B18B1 will produce too much heat and therefore overheat in the HOT Colorado summers. I am wishing to install A/C possibly after the swap is in and functioning so I was reading about the 94-97 Del Sol VTEC radiators being able to swap directly into the same spot my current radiator is but have the advantage of being dual cored. Is this true? Is there any special way to put in one of these radiators or is it pretty straight forward? Also, the Del Sol radiator has the B-series sized radiator hose fittings right? But back to my original question, Will the original radiator work or is it better to get some cooling insurance and get the Del Sol radiator?

I wouldn't stay with the 95 radiator, but I'm also getting an oil cooler. Yes the Del Sol VTEC radiator will bolt right up, and provide stock cooling capability. Many people also go for the Integra radiator which is much bigger but requires some mounting to fit properly.

In order for me to achieve the same cooling ability as the stock integra radiator, would I have to get a Fal fan or something along those lines? Also would a better water pump help any?

Stock Del sol vtec dual core with stock civic fan and stock b18 water pump will be fine. What you will have then is basicly a stock del sol vtec setup which would not overheat. If you decide no to run a/c your stock radiator should be good enough to get you by. I've used my stock VX one for almost a year living in florida during the summer with no cooling problems.

Many people recommend the Del Sol dual core but it isn't necessary. If you have the extra $ then it's a good thing to get, but the stock radiator will work fine. I have drove my 92 VX with 99 B18C1 for over 2 years now with the stock radiator. It has never heated above normal orperating temps, even drag racing in the spring/summer.

stock radiator works great with my b16 even in arizona 100 degree heat all summer.
only time it overheated was when my coolant temp sensor went bad

My b18b swap never even got close to overheating even in 105 degree sticky Texas summers with the a/c on full blast and on my stock 158K CX radiator with me driving agressively.
If you want some added insurance, put in a few bottles of Water Wetter...that stuff works
Of course, if you have the money you can go ahead and upgrade to a Del Sol VTEC radiator... ~$115

How fast did you run stock 1/4, and what did you do to get your vtec to work? Thank.
