Got an Obd2 Ls swapped into my 00 civic ex... I let the car sit for two days for a "break" came back to drive her after that she started I was driving and it was missing when I got on it, pulled over and check to make sure all wires were connected to dizzy and plug everything was good there. It just kept bogging down when I tried to let it idle. So I finally limped it to the stop sign in my neighborhood lol, pushed it the rest of the way . So instead of troubleshooting the dizzy just bought a whole new obd2 Ls (b18b1) dizzy... It's time to fix the car I put it on bolt everything up BUT the plug from my harness to the NEW b18b1 distributor don't match up my harness is 8 pin and the NEW dizzy is 10- pin so did I not get an actually b18b1 distributor and seller lied? Or harness issue ? I'm about to buy a 8-pin to 10-pin conversion harness from rywire... ALSO what so you guys think the problem is? The distributor ? There's no spark in spark plugs nor coming from the cap when I try to start it...think the ignition coil in it when bad ... input? THANKS AGAIN HT! Ill have pics up later

Pop the cap off the old dizzy and ohm the coil. If its bad swap it withe the coil in your new dizzy and see if that fixes it. Then return the new dizzy. You can go buy just the coil for like 40 bucks.

Also check the contacts on the cap and rotor and make sure they look good.

so you haven't been able to try the new one yet ?. strange about the dizzy it along with the engine should both be obd2(can't remember if A OR B). did it by change say for 96-98 ?

I'm gunna try and swap out the ignition coils and crank it up one time after work, and no it's truly and obd2 Ls dizzy had a friend snap a pic of his harness and as for the crv (b20) comment I actually found out cause my friend just bought one and he said his dizzy was 8-pin like my harness so I might just do that if this coil swap doesn't work

99-00 d series and 99-01 crv have the 8 pin. every other b series from 96-01 have the 10 pin.
