b18b1 into a dx
need help what all do i need to do to sawp out a b18 into my civic. i have an obd1 ecu will a jumper wire work that adapts it fro obd2 to 0bd2 ann what else is needed.

it is a 96 civic dx and the engine is from a 94or 95 teg and its a b18b1 im going to use my FACTORY HARNESS AND im gonna use the jumper harness so i can use the obd1 ecu. but do i need two or one and what else do i need.

You will need an OBD2A to OBD1 ECU jumper harness along with the stock 96 DX engine harness. Since all the electronics are OBD1 on the motor (if it comes with those parts) you will need to swap the distributor and alternator plugs, you can reuse the stock Y7 injectors on the LS. They flow the same and will keep you from having to change the injector clips. If it doesn't come with the alternator and distributor then I would buy OBD2 parts for direct plug and play. You'll have to do the IACV 3 wire to 2 wire switch at the ECU, aside from that you should be in good shape.

basically your saying the only thing i really needis the obd2 distributor and alterntorand then if i use the jumper harness i should be in good shape.and do u know if the check engine light is going to be on. ang can u think of anything else like do i need tochange my fuel pump.

gotcha i think im in good shape the guy offered to help me and throw in some obd2 parts. so i thgink ill see what i can do and do you klnow anything to do about
