B18B1 in an EK coupe. ECU code issues
Ok well I just finished the swap of taking my b18C1 out and putting the B18B1 in. I got everything in how it should be, the only plugs not used now are Knock , Vtec, Vtec Pressure and IAB. But I appear to be pulling codes.
When I jump the ECU plug I get code 1 and 14. This is a Y7 Ecu and a Y8 harness.
Code 1 is my o2, not understanding no 02 code when B18c1 was in. and 14 is IACV.
On my harness i tried moving the IACV wire from A12 to A14 to A13. No help, when I plug it into A13 it turns the IACV into a speaker,So I removed it out of that fast, All Pins i plug into A12-14 still pulls code 14.
The O2 is a concern but not much, I have always had o2 problems, So i am starting with a new cat first. And then running an 02 sim on the rear and if O2 1 is bad I will move the rear to the front, the sim will replace 02 2.
My question is this, is code 14 on OBD2 IACV? Also I thought I remember you have to move Primary 02 wire to a different pin, that may be the problem with 02.
I cannot reset these codes, they are on when i turn the key, I have left battery unplugged overnight and still on when key is turned on, and I pulled the radio fuse for 5 hours. So it seems like its not finding the sensor when key is on.
Now I have verified the colors of cables going to the sensors that I am getting a code on and I am fine there, I have also swapped the IACV from the B18C1 in case that was the issue. No I know for sure all harnesses are correct, now I am sure its @ the ECU pin-out.
I have searched this forum left and right and find ECU pin-outs, This code or that, I cant find the exact thing. It seems like no one has gone from B18C1 to B18B, mine is not by choice but the previous owner took no care of it.
TIA I hope you can help. Otherwise I am going to drive this to a shop to re pin my ECU. and my goal was to do this on my own.

Re: B18B1 in an EK coupe. ECU code issues (Trey)
WEll then according to that I have everythign wired fine. I have IACV in A12 like I should. So I guess I will need to take it to a code reader and figure it out.
I looked at that diagram over and over then once more again. I am sure the pinouts are ok, and the IACV is ok and getting power. Unless there is some major difference between a P2E ecu and a P72 other than Vtec and IAB.
Anyone else have an Idea?
