Default B18B w/ B16 head NO vtec

is the b16 head better flowing than the LS head? if it does, could u put it on a LS block but not hook up vtec and do the oil lines so it would be a simpler, more reliable job? just a thought...

If you're not utilizing the VTEC cams, then there's no point in using the B16 head. Output is a combination of everything: cams/head/valve/timing/etc.

Also, I'm pretty sure the low cams have less flow than a regular B18b head anyways...so what's the use if you're not utilizing VTEC? Well, you can get Toda's VTEC killer cams, but that's beyond the scope of this discussion.
