b18b swap into civic with b16 swap
hey guys i just purchased a b18b longblock with all sensors, dizzy and a cut harness .i already have a b16a swap in my car but it is reading low compression on one cylinder so i will be taking it out and going the ls/vtec route.i will be keeping the motor stock and will be using the low compression b18 pistons as i am already turbo, will the b16 harness i have in there already bolt right up to this?and i know to swap the oil pump over and get a gsr timing belt,im also picking up a new flywheel, gsr arp headstuds and a ge ls/vtec kit.anything else i am forgetting?on another note i would like to swap in the new motor without pulling out the tranny i have,is this possible and how difficult would it be?
i know these are alot of questions, and i have searched pretty good but most threads dont pertain to the number of factors i have in this swap so i figured this section of ht would be best to post in.thanks much for any replies or help, i need this swap done in about two weeks help me! lol

you dont need a gsr timing belt unless your using a gsr water pump
and just pull the tranny out with the motor youll save alot of time that way
note: whatever water pump you use you need the timing belt for that water pump
(ls water pump=ls timing belt, gsr water pump=gsr timing belt, b16 water pump=b16 timing belt)

If you use a B16 water pump, which is the same as the GSR one, you would still have to use a GSR timing Belt. A b16 one can't be used on an Ls/vtec b/c of Deck height. So B16 water pump=GSR timing belt on an Ls/vtec.
And BTW, it is way easier to just pull the trans and leave the axles in the knuckles by just undoing the ball joints and popping them out of the trans but before you do that make sure you have some more fluid for the trans. It is probably time for a change anyways right. Trust me, it is way easier to get the splines on the transmission into the clutch with it out of the car, and the install will go faster too, just make sure to drain the trans fluid before you start popping the axles out of the trans.
