b18a1 obd0 swap into 96 DC4 coupe
Okay so I've been building this b18a1 for a while now and I'm getting pretty close to the end of my build. Anyways. This motor came out of a 90 DA and im trying to swap it into my dc4 shell. I've done quite a bit of searching on Google and HT trying to get the information that I need. But now when it starts talking about the VTEC I get a little confused. See I don't have VTEC. I chose to keep the original b18a1 head and had it port and polished with a 3 angle valve job and put in a fully built valve train.(Brian Crower) now I know I need a hyrdo tranny because its a dc4. But what else do I need besides that. I don't have an engine harness so I know I still need that. A parts list would be perfect. Any help is appreciated.

If emissions isn't an issue you really want to do an OBD1 P75. You can chip this later and get it tuned plus it'll eliminate all the OBD2 items your engine doesn't have. For the harness any 94-01 Integra will plug and play with your shock tower and most everything will plug and play. You'll have to manually run the wiring for your cooling fan from the thermostat housing connector to the back of the block connector and pick up a 4 wire O2.

Bringing this thread back because I wanna make sure everything gets done right and I don't waist money. Any input from anyone is appreciated.

okay got the obd2 harness obd2 distributer obd2 alternator... But I have a lot of plugs dangling that don't have anything to plug into. Where do I go from here?

Just swap over your OBD 2 components onto your b18a motor and run your original ECU. No need to do all that wiring and crap switching over to OBD 0.

The two pronged sensor is the OBD0 placement of the fan switch sensor. The OBD2 ones have that sensor on the thermostat (usually brown I think? it's a similar size to the green one you've got in the photo there) I have no experience with the B18A1, but I believe it is the same.
So you take the wires that would go to that two pronged sensor and extend them, connect them to the plug that goes to the thermostat housing.
That's what HondaPartsHero was talking about above when he said "You'll have to manually run the wiring for your cooling fan from the thermostat housing connector to the back of the block connector"

Edit: I may have it backwards here. If you're using the plug in the back of the block, the wires that would go to the thermostat fan switch will be extended and connected to the one at the back of the block. Either works - just depends on what you've got to work with. All those sensors do is act as a temperature switch, so when the coolant is hot enough the fan kicks on.
Hope that wasn't too confusing. Multitasking a bit too much at the moment
