Default B18a1 into EG

Well the time has come and I'm moving up. Before you say why an A1 and not a B1? Well I can get the A1 for 150 and I don't have smog or any ispections where I live so that anwsers any of those question before they come up. So I'm just gonna stick with the cable tranny and get the hasport hydro to cable conv since I don't have the money to drop on a hydro tranny and you can find cable trannies easier and cheaper. Now my question is how bout the axles? Can I use the A1's axles since I heard they work also from a post I read on HT but that's just hearsay so I asking now or do I need GSR axles and the intermediate shaft? The injectors are getting swapped with my z6's so no worry about that on the whole obd0 to obd1 switch-a-roo. Finally the dizzy. I have always been able to swap dizzys back and forth between obd1 and 2 and between ecu's and never had a problem. It's gonna be running on a uber'd p06 so am I gonna need a b1's dizzy or should I be good with the a1's? Whooo that's alot of ?'s but this is my first b-series swap and I feel like and definitely sound like a total retard noob.

you can use the 91ls intermediate shaft and axles will work in your car, they have worked fine on mine for 10,000 miles.
You need a obdI ls dizzy. You will also need a 94+ 5spd upper driverside mount and bracket and rear mount bracket. You will also need a 94+ ls ac bracket or dohc del sol ac bracket if you want to keep the ac.

the 92-93 A1's were obdI, 90-91 were obd0

Got my engine. It's a 93 so I don't have to change that much. Would the LS rear mount work or I need the GSR rear mount? Also axles are different for a auto and manual tranny right cause my junkyard only has auto LS.

the 93 rear mount and mount bracket will not work on your EG. You need a 94 + rear mount/bracket from any 5 spd teggie.

Just got my rear gsr bracket so I'm set on the 3 major mounts. So I can I just get LS axles and are the auto and manual different cause the junkyard is load with auto ls tegs and axles are 25 apiece.

I have another ? on clutch/flywheel setups. Can I use any b-series clutch/flywheel or is it like the sohc setup. The 91 and older sohc use smaller flywheels/clutches. I can use any obd1 and up b-series flywheel and clutch correct? My B18A1 is obd1 is that matter? Man I feel like such a noob now going to b-series from a sohc where I knew everything and everything.

bump i need the same answers. I'm getting a bunch of mixed answers for the mounts issue. One friend told me I only need the rear mount and the driver side mount.

So what you guys are saying is that I will have to replace the mount that is actually stuck onto the block of the motor in order for me to get the b18a1 into an EG?

i used the rear mount from a gsr engine, dizzy from a 93 integra and gsr intermediate shaft and 91 integra axels to put my b18a1 into my eg, but i had hydro tranny.
i also found that the cable and hydraulic clutch flywheel are different

SO far I got a gsr hydro tranny, gsr rear bracket, gsr upper engine mount, gsr shiftlinkage, both a1 and gsr int shafts so all I need is the bracket that mounts onto the block for the driver side since my ls wouldn't work with the gsr mount. I'm getting a gsr mount so I should be set now. Just need axles so I'm just gonna go with the A1 axles since there easier to find around here and should be cheaper.

Cable/hydro clutch disc is the same, pressure plate/flywheel are different. SOHC flywheels have 6 bolts, DOHC's have 8.

not on 90 and 91 models, they have a smaller input shaft. 92 and up will interchange, trust me, i tried it.

What about SRS? I have a 93 eg si and im about to put a 92 b18a1 in it. Is the ECU even effecting that? and will I lose my airbags when I put the 92 b18a1 ecu in?

Been reading this board for a while (years) and couldnt find it mentioned though it probably is.
