B18A swap into 93 civic
Ok guys i need a straight forward answer to this question. I have a 93 civic the motor is fu**ed. My brother just gave me his 90 LS that he crashed and bought back from the insurance company. I know that the 90 LS only makes 130hp. I want to swap the b18a into the civic. How hard would this swap be and what extra parts would i need? I'm thinking i would need mounts and might need to get a 94+ tranny.

the 90 B18A motor is OBD0. your car is setup for OBD1. hasport makes a cable to hydro conversion to use the newer tranny. not sure which mounts you'll need..i'd think you would look for some newer mounts anyways, cuz the 90 mounts are probably old and weathered. i would try to get a 94-95 LS intake manifold w/ injectors, the 94-95 engine harness, a 94-95 LS distributor, and the 94-95 LS ecu. that way everything would plug into your 93 civic, and you'd run the obd1 ecu and electronics.
