Default b18a obd0 into obd1 EG

was it worth it to purchase a 90 obd0 b18a for 200. so i could swap it into my eg..
i know its obd1 and everything but i was thinkin of just updating the motor to obd1 standards,

3rd gen ls axles
obd1 injectors, distibutor
3rd gen motor mounts
b16a2 hydro tranny
3rd gen wiring harness
obd1 ecu

now would i have to customize the wiring harness for the o2 sensor or not.. is it needed? or could i just run it w/out it and have the check engine light on at all times??? anything else u guys know i should do to the motor to make it run and everything w/ my setup?

I'm pretty sure the year of the engine has to be the same year of the car or newer or it's not kosher with the officials.

Edit** Apparently not in Texas.

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/v....html

"Rules regulating engine swapping are not make/model specific. The simple rule is that a vehicle must have all emissions components that were present when it was manufactured, which may include:

PCV - positive crankcase ventilation
ACL - air cleaner (thermostatic air cleaner)
AIS - secondary air injection
EGR - exhaust gas recirculation
EVAP - evaporative emission
CAT - catalytic convertor
SPK - spark control
FR - fillpipe restrictor
O2S - oxygen sensor"

To intentionally run without an O2 sensor is stupid. If you want the car to run like *** and have a constant CEL, poor fuel economy and poor performance then go for it. This kind of defeats the purpose of a swap which is to gain power and performance.
An LS swap is basically all plug a play with minimal wiring needed if any. If you are installing all OBD1 components to the B18A then there should be no reason why you can't have a CEL free running setup. Just get a 92-95 OBD1 LS ECU and wire up a 4 wire O2 if you're car even needs changed. All EG's have 4 wire O2's already except the CX and VX models.
