Default b18a into a 89 crxsi cooling sensor/harness problem, please help

my crx harness doesn't have a plug for the coolant sensor on the t-stat housing any thoughts on remedying this? or a site with a how to. btw: i am also doing a obdo to obd1 swap at the same time using a vtec frog jumper harness

Swap out the cooling sensor that was on the original engine. the thread/diameter sizes should match and it will give you the same plug that you started with.

its not that the plug doesn't match, it's that it doesn't exist on the old motor (sohc zc) there is no sensor on the waterneck on my zc.

That sensor is for the fan switch. on your old motor it is the two wire sensor by the oil pressure sensor you just have to relocate it to the water neck. find a plug that fits and use it when you rewire it to the new location

And your grounds should be on the other side of the t-stat housing.

Extend the old wires to the new location.
