b18a block or b18c w/ gsr head

b18a block or b18c w/ gsr head
have a 98 teg that has some miles and is tired. i have a b18a block are there any down falls to using the early a block with v tec head or should i stay with the gsr bottom end. either way it will get rebuilt w/ pistons, rods oil pump brgs etc. and the head will be redone with aftermarket springs and retainors. also eventually in a couple of years will change out piston again for low comp. for turbo. which block should i use?
