B18A/B throttle body & intake manifold compatibility (no map sensor)
I mated my B18B (94 Integra) throttle body to a B18A intake manifold (As far as I know it is a B18A manifold).
I suspect I am suffering from severe vacuum leak due to this. The throttle bodies ARE different in design in regards to placement of the FITV and such. Anyhow I tried to put the B18A throttle body back on it's B18A intake manifold and now i see that there is NO map sensor, nor is there a spot where I could even mount the one off my B18B throttle body.
Is there a solution here? Or should I drain the coolant and swap intake manis (An option I'm not too fond of, but I will if it is the best option).
The ECU I am running is a 94 LS map...

It probly uses a firewall mounted map sensor, just use the one off ur b18b and try mounting it somewhere or just leave it hanging. One of the nipples on the TB should be the one for the map sensor.

When I was comparing the two TBs, I did notice that the B18A TB had an extra nibble. I'll take the map sensor off the LS throttle body and try to mount it. Didn't have the right size screwdriver and was afraid I would strip the screws... maybe I'll use a vice-grip.
I wasn't familiar with map sensors that weren't integrated onto the TB, thanks for the info!

Thanks you psycho. I'm going to try using my B18B MAP sensor first.
Anyone know if the TPS sensor is the same from the B18A to B? The plug is the same.

Car is showing Code 14. electronic air control. I'm assuming this is the IACV. I know this unit is in perfect working condition.... what else would cause or contribute to code 14 being triggered?
