Default B18A in 91 DX Hatch no spark?????

Ok, I installed a B18A in a friends car for him. It was allready converted to MPFI, it had a ZC in it. The car has fuel but no spark. One of the wires in the two pin plug at the distributor has power when the Ignition is on. No other wires at the distributor show power, weather it is cranking ignition is on or what not. The distributor gets hot after cranking. Yet no spark is put out. I know the distributor is good because we put it on a LS teg we just bought and it runs fine with it. I know it must be a wiring issue and am getting quite frustrated with the situation. All the plugs are tight and shoudn't be a problem. The only thing that even brings questions to my mind is a strane sensor on the rear of the motor. It has two wires and a green plug. It can be seen here : http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...n.jpg

in advance any insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm running out of things to check.

Are all of your grounds good and secure? I'd go a double check that. Also, are there any codes from the ecu? That green sensor is the thermoswitch for the cooling fan. I wouldn't prevent your car from starting. Double check to make sure that all the wiring to and from the distributor is correct.

nope no codes. I also forgot to mention I also tried 3 different ECUs. I'll check the grounds next. Where is the plug for the thermostaic switch at on the DX Hatch then? Thanks for your help.
