b18 into 86 accord? (some info please)
i know that this has been done and i think that i have found the mount kit now i need a wiring harness or a how to 86 accord to b series. what axles to use and i can modify my own shift linkage. anyone that might have a custom harness by place racing that they want to get rid of for this swap or anyone that knows someone from place racing would be great. other than that some that knows how to biuld the harness and what i need would be great. and what axles to use to make the correct ones or if anybody has a set that they want to get rid of would be great. any info on this would be very appreciated.

The info you request is extremely obscure. And having owned an 88 accord (rust *****) I would discourage you from attempting this swap.

Maybe true, but out here in AZ rust is not a issue. And a 86 Accord hatch w/ a boosted poor mans would be the hotness. Something different and something different is always a good thing....

I would certainly prefer to go with a H, but is that possible. See he already has a poor mans type R boosted in his crx. He also has this 86 Accord, so here we are trying to make a swap happen...

A mount kit does indeed exist for this swap. But in all likelihood, you are on your own as far as the wiring goes. As for H-series, this might be possible. But as far as I know, it will involve alot of custom fabrication. On the other hand, if you can get your hands on one of those B-series transmission adaptor plates that are rumored to exist, this swap might not be too hard.

I am finishing a harness for a guy right now. 87 accord to OBD1 Hseries, but the Bseries will not be that far off.

Re: b18 into 86 accord? (dreamer)
thanks for all the info but 3geez.com does not have a wiring schematic for the swap in question. I need to know what i have to wire in to make this happen. i have built h22/civic wiring harnesses and vtec subharnesses but i had the info on what needed to be done. i am a mechanic by trade and do alot of wiring and fabrication so i just need the info on what is different. thanks again and keep the info coming!

i know that there are several guys that have done this swap. you might try posting this question there and see if anyone knows.
