B17A into a CRX Si?
K, I've done several serches on here and on google and talked to several people and I just was hoping for some "easy answers". My friend is swapping a B17A out of a '92 Integra GSR into his '90 CRX Si.
From what I understand, this should be a fairly straight forward swap, but then again, I am Hondumb!
Here's what I think I know; The Si harness with an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion and wire in the oil pressure switch, VTEC Solenoid, knock sensor and second O2 sensor. The problem is I haven't been able to find any info on where these sensors and solenoids wires in on the ECU.
Can someone please give me some help or point me to a website that has some reliable, straight forward directions.
Thanks,
Krazy Karl

Not exactly the same but close. The B16's are for the most part OBD0, except for the ones from the del sol, and Civc Si. And the B17's are ALL OBD1
What do you want to know, specifically? First off, OBD1's have only 1 four wire o2, not 2 one wires.
The VTEC pin-outs are:
A4-- vtec solenoid
D6-- vtec pressure
D3-- knock sensor
4 wire o2
D14--o2 signal
A6-- o2 heater control
</TD></TR></TABLE>

If you buy an OBD conversion harness from blown90hatch, it comes with instructions that explain it all. And Jason will answer any questions you have or anything you don't understand.

You will treat the motor/tranny the same as any B series swap into an 88-91 Civic/CRX. So you're going to need an aftermarket mount kit, shift linkage, etc. As 4crx4me stated, the OBD1 electronics on the B17 will be the biggest issue (if you consider it that). You can convert to OBD1 or you can also use OBD0 electronics: PR3/PW0 ECU, distributor, injectors with resistor box, etc.
