Anyone know how to get a CTR motor to pass the emissions test in ca? I'm getting ready to drop it into my car and will be needing the info soon enough.

should just need a good CAT and run lots of gas line antifreeze..

what we do in Ontario

also having a chipped ecu, programmed just for the e-test(smog test)

http://www.racingchips.com will do that...

How easy? Some one told me that because there is no USDM counter part it would be hard to get it BAR'd. I noticed that you have provided lots of great info on this subject to many people on here. Email me with some info when you have time. The Motor is not in my car yet but will be in the next couple of weeks. Do i need to take it to the smog reff right after that or wait till they tell me i need to go (sorry i just moved to socal about a year ago so im not to sure how it works.

Thanks

Why would you even consider reffing this vehicle? Unless your vehicle is all riced out, you have a ton of cash to spend or you happen to suffer from paranoid (black & white fever) panic attacks, just swap it and leave it alone. Public internet forums are full of unbased opinions and preconceived notions. Reffing a vehicle isn't for everybody. Double-check your sources and do some more research before you bend over backwards and ref this vehicle. PM me for more info. Good luck....

Im' new to California so im not sure how its done...I thought that if a swap was done youhad to take it to a ref and get it passed. True/not True? The vehicle is not riced out no Jungle fever...Just didnt know i could leave it alone.
