B16B into a 98 EX questions...
Well, I think my stock D16Y8 is about to be toast. I am looking to do a swap. I'm thinking of either a B16A (92-95 SiR II), B16B (EK Type R), or a B18C (94-97 GSR). All the motors listed would be bought as a complete change over from hmotorsonline.
Would the B16B be the easiest swap, labor wise? Would I be able to use the stock B16B motor mounts in my 98 EX? Every part that comes with it should bolt right up, as this motor came from an EK civic, correct? Also am I going to need the hydraulic to cable tranny conversion? I am assuming my car is a cable.
Obviously, if I decided to go the cheap route, I would go with the B16A. This motor (being from a 92-95 SiR) wouldnt be as drop in-able as the B16B would it? What else different would I need for this swap? I am assuming motor mounts, but anything else?

If you get all the mounts and stuff from the b16b FULL swap it should fit right in there you are correct. I did a b series swap into my car and all i needed to change was rear tranny mount and the drivers side mount into my EK because the b18 didn't come with it.
If you are getting a b16a from a 92-65 you are going to need the motor mounts from a SI.
There are lots of threads on this you can always search for it to make sure you got the correct parts.
What are you planning to do with the motor?

With what motor? The new one I plan on dropping in and leaving it be until I pay it off. The old one? I might have to make a video out of it
And I just got back form the shop to have mechanic look at it, well listen to it. He said its done with. So I am going to need a motor here soon.
