b16a2 swap into 96 civic dx ek4
Ok please don't tell me to search because i have been for the last 3 or 4 hours and yes i used the archived search too! anyways the motor is actually crvtech b20b block b16a2 head. I need to know what wiring issues there are with putting this motor in. I have the 99 Civic Si wiring harness and my stock dx harness.

The '99 si harness is worthless.
It's obd2B and your '96 is obd2A. All of the pins at the ecu are in different locations.
So you need to take your stock harness and fit it onto the crvtec.
Then you will need to wire up the vtec and knock sensor.
You can search for wiring info. Its all over the place in here.

Like in the above post your 99 SI harness is not usable in this situation. Trade it with a 96-98 Ex harness and that would work better.
Is your B20B JDM or USDM? IF usdm then your fine. If JDM then you'll have to add the CFK sensor for the crank fluck.
Make sure your B20 has the stock mount on the timing belt, then it will bolt in. Get the 99 SI rear T bracket so the install will be fine.
other than that have a nice day and don't rev the **** outta it.
