B16A2 need HELP!!!! Distributor problem
 

I ONLY replaced my dist. and now my car is running like shit. Not very good acceleration at all. Checked threw everything and wires seem to be in proper order. Tried rotating the dist. to adjust the timeing. right now it's turned all the way towards front of car. if turned the other way engine starts to run kinda ruff.
Any ideas what could be causing this? And how do I check engine light

1) make sure the distrubitor is the correct one

2) sometimes you can have a defective distrubitor coming from the factory

I had a defective distrubitor that threw all types of CELs at me. after I replaced it with a known good distrubitor, the engine regained it's power and the CEls went away.

what is a CEL?? I just took the electronics from my old dist. and put it in the new one and still the same thing. Bad acceleration.
