Default b16a2 head, jdm b16a block questions

im putting a b16a2 head on a jdm b16a block and its going in a 99 si. is there anything special i gotta do to the block, like plug any coolant holes or anything like that? just wondering before i start. thanks for your help. i know all the pulleys and gears will work just fine. just wondering on where the surfaces meet.
