Default b16a1, pr3 ecu in 89 si

I had a code 21, vtec solenoid valve. Wired up the vtec today, vtec engages, but I still have a code 21. And yes, I am sure that the vtec is engaging, because proir to hooking it up right, I tested it using a switch and it makes a distinct sound. Any ideas.

Check your Vtec filter or Vtec Solenoid valve still. If your still throwing the code, something still must be wrong.

The vtec filter was clean. My 2nd o2 sensor(I think it is the 2nd one, its on the right and has an orange wire) is not hooked up. Which pin does it go to? And would that have anything to do with my current problem?

The 2nd O2 sensor that you add usually goes in pin C8. In SOME cases, the engine runs better when you switch the signals between C8 and C16. Vtec solenoid should go to A8.

Hope this helps.
