b16a1 into 98dx hatch
I am putting a b16a1 into a 98dx hatch. What do i do about the wiring? I bought a obd1 to obd2 wiring harness but the engind is obd0, do i just have to get an obd0 to obd1 wiring harness? I'm not sure what to modify about the wiring.

Re: b16a1 into 98dx hatch (mp3albums2k2)
first of all you need to get obd2 injectors, distributor, alternator and 02 .then wiring wise extend the primary o2 sensor wiring to towards the rear mount of the car...then if you are using the 98dx harness add vtec pressure, solenoid, and if you using any other computer than a p28 you also need to wire up a knock sensor. for the IACV plug you will need to convert from a three pin plug to a 2 pin plug..then from the ecu side you will need to repin one connection..you have to move the a14 to a12 pin...if you need any other help PM me

First gen B16A swaps might be cheap, but when you go to putting them into anything other than an OBD0 chassis, it's simply not worth it in the long run. Unless you want to convert back to OBD0 ( ) then you'll need to use either OBD2 or OBD1 components on the motor. The OBD2 components (injectors, distributor, and alternator) would be a better choice since they will plug into your engine harness.
You MUST reuse your 98 DX harness and add the necessary wiring/changes or get a 96-98 EX engine harness for better plug and play. There are no other ways around it, you can't use any other harnesses. You will also need to get an OBD1 ECU - chipped P28 or P30 or an OBD2 P30 or P73, preferably a JDM ECU for less wiring. If your state's emissions allow it, I would go OBD1 which will require an OBD2 to OBD1 ECU adapter harness.
