Default B16A wiring into a 4th Gen question

The engine I have received had the harness cut before the plug, so i have a whole mess of wires. Now how do I connect them up to my 4th gen civic Si, do i cut and splice the current engine harnessand re-wire it to the b16a that is going in the car, or am I way off. Need some ideas plz, anything helpful that is, thanks in advance.

i did find an answer to our issue, here's how it goes: Take the harness off the 1b6a drop in the engine and then the engine harness that was on you stock engine plugs directly up to the plugs on the b16a. Now fo rthe fun part you have to wire in the vtec function wires( there is only five of them so it not hard), here is a website that really helped me http://www.hallusin8.com/b16 this will show the ecu pin outs and the places to hook them up. hope that helps you, it sure as fu*k helped me, hope it helps you.

key turn and vroom vroom with the dohc

That'll save you a LOT of time and effort - it literally took me about half an hour to do it right .

If you wanna check the whole site go to http://www.geocities.com/tjsite/b16ainstall.html
