B16a into 90 HB...parts needed?
ok, parts needed are as following.....
B16a
Engine mount kit
Y1 Transmission
integra axles
ECU
Is this all that is needed to do this swap? Anyone wish to elaborate on it for me?
where would be the cheapest/best place to order everything from? the B16a is being built already before it is shipped by a reputable shop to run 12's all motor. Will Integra axles hold up to this kind of punishment, or should aftermarket or different ones be choosen?
Which ECU should be choosen? The built engine should be reving quite a bit higher than the stock B16a's redline, so who should be turned to for the best reprograming job?
Thanks for any help guys

Take a look at my website... if you're brave, read the journal... it has a list of EVERYTHING in there that I used. I also have a separate list on the site for you to peruse, as well as approximate pricing (CDN funds). The axles you use are based on which intermediate shaft you have... take a look at the Hasport site for info on that. But I'd definitely get some Raxles instead of el-cheapo brand, especially with lots of extra power.
Which ECU should be chosen...? Why not get yourself a programmable ECU? I believe ZDyne can hook you up with one of those . There was another company, too, but I can't think of it offhand. One of the chipped ECUs could do datalogging, the other could do on-the-fly programming. Anyway, HTH...

to do a complete swap you will need:
-engine
-tranny
-axles
-shift linkage
-ecu
-mounting kit(depends on what gen your civic is)
-might need to have some custom exhaust work done for cheap to get the exhaust manifold to fit stock components(depends on what engine you buy)
i thinks thats it. its all i can think of

If you've got the B16A downpipe from the stock exhaust manifold the Civic exhaust should bolt up fine, with one minor note: you'll have to rotate the catalytic converter 120 degrees (it has a three-bolt pattern so this is easy, just separate it, rebolt it on after turning it 120 degrees).
