b16a head on a gsr block?
well i need speed for my civic si but i need torque and that's something that they dont have so if i changed the block would that make a good improvement any sugestions would help. thanks

You will want to change out the pistons to raise up the compression first.
But once that is done, the difference between that and a b16a is night and day

You would kind of be makin a ITR motor. The only difference between an ITR head and ur B16A would be that the ITR is mildly ported and has a different valvetrain and camshafts. You would also want to change out the pistons for ITR or ur B16A's since the greater volume of the B16A head would put your C/R at about 9.8:1. Have fun!

why not try some ctr cams and pistons. cheaper than a gsr block and that will bring your cr up and the cams are much better than the us spec stuff.
