Default b16a to 20b!NEED HELP?ANY INFO WILL BE APPRECIATED!

[I][B]I have a 1990 Integra XSI(DOHC VTECH 1600cc)The head has been Ported/polished
9lbs TODA Flywheel
stage 4 ClutchMaster
JUN ECU/Area 51
I'm converting bottom end to 20B.
I was told the b16a crankshaft can be used in the 20B,idealy should use b18c crank and pistons.(IF I AM WRONG PLEASE LET ME KNOW)I already know that i need retainers and springs for the car to rev to 10,000rpm.what i'd like to know is there anything else i should be wary of with a set up such as this?I am keeping the b16a head and crank and am converting to higher compression pistons/rods.What kinda HP gains can i expect from thiS set up as well?

if ya keep the b16 crank you're gonna need longer rods and will end up with about a 1.7 liter. there is a lot involved with what you wanna do. you'd be best off to do some research.

you'll need to plug the head vtec oil feed and, run an external line.
you'll need to determine what crank you want to use and get the appropriate rods. your timing belt will match the water pump you use. you'll use the b20 head gasket or go with the cometic head gasket for your application.

i'd suggest you use the b18c or b18/b20 crank.

it's possible the engine will sit too tall to close your hood. i dunno about that for sure. the b18/b20 block is taller than the b16.

if you have aol aim i can help you more... aim name = stockSi00

my aol is ntommy46.
Ok so then the b16a crank can not be used whatsoever in the 20b?
The reason i've made such a jump is cuz the orignal block drag piston/in one of the cylinders,so rather than bore and sleeve i thought i'd change bottom end.Everyone has been tellin me that it's a good way to go and the bolt up for the head and tranny is the same.I assumed cuz most B-series parts are interchangeable.Appearntly not all.I live in Jamaica by the way.Availability is also an issue for me.1.My car is JDM 2.it's difficult finding the fits from the states cuz my year integra in the states didn't see the b16a.I think it is the 94-96 Del Sol that got it and the later model Civics.Well honeslty if the crank cannot be used back i'll have too stick wid my original set up.i'll just buy pistons/rods for it.Cuz i've already cashed in my lungs and liver for the JUN Ecu and retainers. Not too mention the flywheel and port/polish.i've added u to my list.yo thnax a million for the help and info man.greatly appreciated.

yes.. you can use the b16 crank.. you'll need custom rods at a lenght of 143mm with a stock spec. piston (84+mm bore). however you will only gain about .1 liter in displacement due to the larger bore of the b20 block. you will also have a better r/s of nearly 1.86 wich will help you if you want to rev to 10k. not a bad setup.. just not what i went for in my b20/b26 setup.
