Re: b16 swap getting code 36 jdm p30 traction control (d16_DIM)
If there isn't a wire pluged into the ecu from the Traction control system's computer then there will be a error code coming from the P30 ecu. The traction control system (TCS) computer send messages to the engine computer to control throttle and throttle cut. The P30 is a valued computer but maybe you should purchase one for your situation only and not have functions reporting errors. I have read about someone having a P30 ecu and getting the TCS error code when there VTEC wasn't working so there are probably problems with there wireing. I have the TCS, ABS, and complete wiring harness/loom of a EG6 SiR-S car. I have to still fix the wiring so that it will work for left hand driver. It even has the roof mounted speaker wire and auto climate control along with a total of 3 computers. ECU, TCS, ABS. the tcs computer doesn't fit with the trunk box rear interior and I think the Traction Control System cars don't have the trunk box interior. What is your ECU? And what kind of car did the ecu come from? I am looking for a P30. I think the ecu I need is the P30-N21 or a Spoon Sports P30-001. "EG6 TCS"
