b16 swap code 3
Hey guys i got a b16 swap done at the end of august.......and i had gotten a CEL, it was a code 3, so i replaced and inspected all the vacuum lines, redid all of them so there all good. I also just got a map sensor from a 90LS in a junkyard and put that on yesterday and it still is giving me a code 3, so i don't get what the problem is?? The only other thing i can think of that it could be is the ecu itself, or the wiring........can anybody help me??

Re: b16 swap code 3 (DAMCOOLDAV)
does anybody have any ideas i could try?

Did you try pluging the MAP itself stright in into the nipple and making sure that it is connected to the ecu? i know it sounds dumb but thats the only hook ups it needs

Re: b16 swap code 3 (DAMCOOLDAV)
Have you reset the ECU since you've made the changes? The ECU can store the codes even after you fix the problem and will need reset to clear them.

Re: b16 swap code 3 (VTECVillain)
Well I had the battery cable off while i changed the map sensor, and then just connected it when i was done, so doesn't that count as resetting it? and ZAXeg i don't know what u mean, plug it into what nipple?

Re: b16 swap code 3 (DAMCOOLDAV)
Assuming you have an OBD0 swapped B16, you need to configure your MAP sensor and vacuum lines as described:
