b16 swap blowing main relays?? obd2 in obd1 car???
ok i just got done with my b16a2 swap in to my 95 hatch and i have started this car before with out the alt hooked up and it started and ran fine.. well today i was wiring in my alt ( obd2 alt obd1 car) and on the obd2 plug that i was splicing in 2 wires matched and the other 2 were diff so i just winged it to seee wat it would do and as soon as i hit the key to start the car i hear a light machine gun sound and when i turned the key to acc it would stop.. well long story short i found out that the loud clicking sound was coming from my relay so im going to go yard hopping on thurs to find one before i spend 80$ on a new one...so my ? is could wiring in my alt been the cause of the relay to blow..i would be pissed if i buy a new one and it blows...help a brotha out i think when i get the other one im going to try first to start the car with the alt un hooked and see if it runs fine like before..

could it be the problem... yes.
which relay blew? there are several of them.
just guessing on wire colors can cause fires.
post up what colors you have and I can tell you which ones go where.
