B16 swap in 95 EX wont start.....
Ok I swapped this motor in my teg and it started no problems. Now I swapped everything into the coupe and it cranks but wont start. Its getting fuel and spark but it wont go. It started when I 1st tried it but it was backfiring like crazy, now it wont turn on tho. everythings plugged up right (its 6 plugs I cant really mess that up), and everything I see is plugged in. Im stumped.

I did this same swap in my friend's '95 EX a while back (USDM B16A2 and ran it off the p28). We had trouble with it starting and it turned out that we had forgotten to re-attatch all of the grounds. It even cranked up once for us, but after that it wasn't able to turn over until we connected all of the grounds.

ok it still wont start, i have the tranny and valve cover ground connected, fuel comesoutof the banjo fitting on the filter i know its getting fuel, its getting spark, engine harness is all plugged up. i have no idea what it can be. when i swapped this motor in the teg it started right up.
EDIT: im an idiot, though i had the wires right but they were out of order.

Re: (rewsnaeht)
very similar problem i had...check to make sure that there is power going to the distributor and also make sure the ECU doesnt have a bent pin...that was my problem. check to see where u r not getting power...just get a bulb and two wires(a hot + ground)and trace it to the source.
