To anyone that bought one, how much did it cost you and is there anything to look for to ensure it is real jdm; besides the valve cover?

look on the block...it should just say b16a there should be no number after the letter...and i heard that u can tell by the intake manifold...on the usdm it has the PGM sign on it and the jdm one doesn't...correct me if i'm wrong...good luck

I picked the motor up today, the tranny code is y21 which would be correct right? My boyfriend said he thinks it has LSD which would be nice. The place I got it from must have taken the vtec solenoid off because they loaded said had a nice day and I had to ask where it was. They claim it didn't come with one but I know they probably took it off and figured because I was a girl I wouldn't notice. I noticed.

For anyone that has done the swap, did you just take the JDM harness off and use your factory one. I have a 93 2dr ex.

you should go back and the demand the selenoid because its rediculous that the engine would not have it, or just buy one off ebay

it ran me about 3200 when all said and done. Wish i would have went h22 eg or hell even b18 shipping raped me. like $300ish

After they loaded the swap into the truck, I asked the guy where the vtec solenoid was and he said it didn't come with one. I told him to go get the one that came on it, I am not stupid the place where it goes is spotless and the rest of the motor looks old. He came back out and put one on.

My boyfriend called up there later and the owner said I was going off on his employee. What did he expect I just spent $2800 for a complete swap, "complete" not missing parts.

I got it from Honda Heaven in Arlington. When you did your swap did you get a throttle cable? I didn't know it should come with one and did not recieve one. Can you use the stock one of the d series motor?

Honda Heaven is overpriced. How many miles are on the motor?

they usually just cut the throttle cable when they pull the engine, to save some work

They say 60,000 but who knows. It came in a whole front clip but when I asked to buy the gauge cluster it was not there.
