B16 into a DPFI wireing
After some research I have made simplified wiring instructions.
Installing a B16A into 88-91 DX
Wiring
Converting DPFI to MPFI
Unpin C1 - repin B10
Unpin C2 - repin B12
Unpin B2 cut add wire to go to the BLU-GRN wire on cyl position sensor then repin C1
Unpin B11 cut add wire to go to the BLU-YEL wire on cyl position sensor then repin C2
Cut A3 and add wire run it to #2 injector (RED wire)
Cut A7 and add wire run it to #4 injector (YEL wire)
Connect the YEL-BLK wire from the DX injector harness to the YEL-BLK wire on the injector resistor box.
Connect the YEL wire from the DX injector to the #1 injector (BRN wire)
Connect the RED wire from the DX injector to the #3 injector (BLU wire)
Connect the 4RED-BLK wires from injector resistor box to each injector
Setting up the Vtec
A8 add wire for Vtec Solenoid valve GRN-YEL
B5 cut add wire for the Vtec pressure switch BLU-BLK wire
B19 add wire for Knock sensor RED-BLU
C8 cut add wire for second O2 sensor WHT (green plug)
If the car is not an SI
The TPS has to be extended about 10” Be sure to switch green/white and yellow/white wires on TPS.
The IACV has to be extended about 5”
The distributor plug has to be un pined from the Dx square plug and repined to the B16 round plug. (do this one wire at a time, matching the wires correctly.) There should be 2 extra wires left on the B16 round plug these are for the wires coming from ECU pins C1 and C2.
In the end there is one plug from the Dx harness that does not get plugged in it just hangs there. It gets unplugged from the back of the throttle body on the Dx.

Re: B16 into a DPFI wireing (tiresmoke)
I'm doing this for a guy who kept calling me till I would go over and do this for him. I never even met the guy before. I got there. It was a disaster. the engine was in the car the Cut L bracket was still on the B16 the Cut wiring was still on the B16 He didn't make clearance for the Altinator or the L bracket at the rear. the DX harness was all tangled in under the hood, So I spent 2-1/2 hours in his driveway on saterday (thats right no Garage, No Tools) I got the B16 harness off and the DX harness on I am nearly camplete I have all of the work onder the hood done I just have to do the ECU stuff.
Notes: Aside from the original post I had to extend the TPS wires about 10" and I also had to un pin the original sqare distributer plug and repin it on to the B16 round Distributer plug. also I had to unrap some wire loom around the distributer plugs to gain the wire required.
And Still I'm unsure about the Bold Italic stuff on the original post. Does anybody know if it is correct?

Does anybody know why I should Unpin A6 and repin at A10
and then Cut B4, B7 and C9
this is the link that said I need to do this.

Re: B16 into a DPFI wireing (tiresmoke)
I did what it says in the first post excactly. every thing is hooked up it would turn over but would not start. and i got the CEL. I am not getting fuel. also when I un plug the fuel pump the CEL goes away when I plug it back in the CEL comes back on. but the pump itself will not run I tried several pumps. nothing would work. anybody ever have this problem putting a B16a into a 89 civic Dx?

Re: B16 into a DPFI wireing (tiresmoke)
The following is the DPFI to MPFI wiring instructions written by Kenji that I followed way back in the day when I did my first MPFI swap. I pretty much have the wiring memorized now but for reference, I always refer back to it. The Hybrid Resource site is pimp, been around since some of us even drove, let alone tuned. Compare the methods that you used to this: DPFI to MPFI Wiring Tech

That should be unpin B12, not sure if that was a typo or not.

A6 is the EVAP Purge on the DX which you are be repinning to the PR3/PWO EGR Solenoid ???
B4 = Radiator Fan Control - Cut this ???
B7 = A/C On Input - Cut this ???
C9 = Atmospheric Pressure Sensor - Cut this ???
Cutting and/or unpinning these wires is not right. I've never seen these instructions before but it is completely unnecessary, let a lone wrong and pointless. If you stick to the basics like in Kenji's instructions from Honda-Hybrid and then complete the VTEC and O2 wiring, then you should be in good shape.

Re: B16 into a DPFI wireing (VTECVillain)
this is the link that told me told me to move A6 and cut B4, B7, and C9 http://b16a.honda-perf.org/theswap.html
my instructions are the same as Kenji's I have just eliminated some cutting and soldering by unpining and repining if you print the two pages and go thru them you will see they are the some except the "A6 to A10 and the cutting of B4, B7 and C9" which I haven't done.
