B16 header won't fit B16
I'm trying to help a friend out with a couple issues he's having getting his swap done.
He's installing a jdm b16a in a 92 hatch. I haven't seen his engine yet, but I'm assuming its a first gen engine since it has a cable tranny. One issue he's having is that he has DC header for a 99-00si that will not fit? It won't clear the oil pan. I don't have personal hands on experience with b16's, but I always assumed the deck height was the same for all b16's. Is it? Or is the problem a difference in the shape of the oil pan?
I did search, btw, but couldn't really zero in on the info.
Should he be looking for a header designed for a third gen teg instead?
I'll admit I didn't search very hard on this one, but does anyone know of a good source for an UN-molested engine harnesses? His swap was removed using the "Who cares? Just cut it," method.
Thanks,
Chad

Re: B16 header won't fit B16 (Bodido)
I had the same issue with my b16 although i was using a jdm 4-1 and rubbed a hole in my pan. The b16 pans seem to be kicked out more. I put on a GSR pan and had 2-3 inches of clearance. Don't know if they gave you the wrong header but a GSR pan should solve your problems.
