it all depends on what kind of driving you do.
Doesn't the b16 have shorter gear and is better?
yes the b16 does have shorter gears which makes drag racing/auto-x phenomenal but not good when your going 80 on the highway at 4500rpm
What is the going price on this tranny?

a B16 tranny isn't that bad on the freeway in 5th gear. Its up to you.

whats your setup/ what do you use your car for?? as stated before the b16 tranny is great for auto cross, but for daily driver you have to decide that one for yourself. bottom line it comes dn to personal preference. Get B16, you'll be in vtec more hahaha jk

Re: (vuse1)
I'd say GSR, I hated my B16's gearing.....you are always changing gears, and it's really annoying reving so high on the freeway. B18b gears are definately too long though.

Re: (moike)
i m going to be running an ls motor for now...but in the future i would like to swap in a vtec head to make ls/vtec. If i get the b16 tranny and run on just the ls motor for now, would that be safe b/c the ls motor isn't a high revving motor?
Thanks for all you that reply..helping alot

b16 is by far the best tranny to have on any bseries setup. as for your concern with the 5th gear you can always change it to an ls final drive.
