b16 block mated with gsr head...thoughts
hey whats sup, my friend recently brought an LS integra with a motor that was squeezed on...cylinder #3 is leakin oil thru the exhaust port

c-speedracing.com compression calculator yield 10.65:1 c/r i am guessing from the ballpark of 160whp-170whp...
any estimate or thought how this motor will run...i am kinda curious how it will perform...will be installin the motor into the car this sunday
motor is complete assembled already...just no time to pull the motor out with the weather outside

Mine made 160.2 hp to the wheels when I first put it in. I didnt feel a big difference from the gsr bottom end. (I didn't want to risk blowing it up at the time) I've made almost 400hp with the turbo, no problems. Everyone says its not ideal cause the b16 head supposedly flows better, but it can work. Ask all the guys iv'e whipped over the years!

Yeah I'd also say 155-160 max. A friend of mine had a USDM B16 with ITR cams, ITR 4-1 header, S2 manifold, B16 tranny and light flywheel and made mid-150's. You got a bit more compression but smaller cams so it's probably even.
