Default B16 B Civic Type R?

Hi I currently have a 6th gen sir 2 jdm motor in my car and was thinking of trading it in and upgrading to a b16b motor. Would it pretty much just bolt in? Would I need to rewire, replace ecu or anything else? I could keep my tranny correct? Its the hydro one.

Would I need a short block or a long block then? Would the short block have all the neccessary components(I know sometimes they are missing the camshafts, which I need). Do they even sell the b16b's like that, in short block form? Please help anyone. Thanks.

The b16B is actually a destroked B18C5. Yes, a destroked ITR motor.

CTR motors are expensive as hell. Unless you want the exclusivity of having the CTR engine, bet a B18C1 from a GSR. It would have a little less HP, but it would cost a lot less money. You could modify the B18C with the leftover money modify it and make more powerful and have more torque.

A b16b is not a b16a with better cams. It is a destroked ITR engine.
