Default Axles and tranny

I recently switch my GSR tranny for a b16 tranny on my 99 ex coupe wit JDM GSR engine swap. The alxe i got from advanced auto parts was for a GSR. Some how the other day the axle came loose and came off. my mechanic says that the axles from advanced auto parts are junk and to get another one from another place, but i just wanted to make sure did the fact that i was using a GSR axle on b16 tranny play any role. The axle does have alot of lose play in it

The GSR Axle will work. Both B16 & GSR Hydro tranny's use the same axles. Good Luck
