Today I finally installed my DSS Stage 3 Axles which I bought used from another member on here "prostock" - when we took the car out on the road it started shaking and vibrating REALLY BAD no matter what speed I was at. Like I had a flat on the pass. side.

Well I jacked it up on some stands and let the wheels turn in 1st and noticed that the passenger side was making a wierd thumping noise - I go look at it while my buddy keeps it running in 1st gear and it's moving up and down! Its like that pass. side axle is bent or something causing it to wobble because the whole pass. side suspension was moving up and down!!

Do you guys think its that Axle that is the problem or the tranny? Honestly I do not think it could be the tranny but I just wanna be sure. Tranny is M2B4 LSD and car is a 93 Civic EG with the H22A in it.

i had a similar problem, and it turned out to be the axels...double check your install, make sure its all correct. sorry but it sounds like the axel is bent.

First off, let me say that DSS axles are virtually useless with the EG H22 swap. First off, the motor sits at a different height and angle than a B or D series, meaning that the axles will be on a bind. The only reason one should ever buy DSS axles, is if running slicks and making 500+ HP. Even then, you may decide to go with Gator axles instead. You should just return the axles and run the 90-93 Integra driver side axle, with the prelude intermediate shaft. Then run the 90-93 Integra passenger side axle with the 92-01 Prelude H22 CV.

Well it turns out that the darn inner cv joint shaft (that goes into the tranny) is bent and by lookin at it you cant even tell! How did we discover this?? Well I went to autozone and bought a 92 Prelude passenger side axle - then we took the inner cv joint out and pushed it into the tranny ... NOT WOBBLING! So we then decided to take the same inner cv and put it on the DSS axle and sure enough - the wobbling and vibration was gone!

I guess the axle would hold up for a little bit until I can get the DSS Stage 3 fixed ... But anyways, that was the problem concerning that issue!
