Axle swap problems in a '90 DX hatchback
So I'm doing a B-series swap into a '90 Civic DX hatchback. The motor is in, and I'm using a 90-93 Integra intermediate shaft with 90-93 Integra non-ABS axles. The problem is, although they fit the intermediate shaft, the splines are too big for the hubs! I have seen over a dozen write-ups all telling you to use these axles and they don't fit. WTF?!?!?!?
So, now I have DA axles that don't fit and I have to figure out what to do. Can I use the outer cups from a stock Civic axle and use them on the DA axles? Can I use wheel bearings from a '91 Si (and will they fit in the DX)?

You've got HF or STD hubs. DX and Si will both take a B-series axle. Seeing as how you need to swap hubs anyway you might want to look into a set of '90 - '91 EX sedan knuckles, calipers and rotors for bigger front brakes.

it doesn't make much sense... i got this car totally stock from a school teacher (original owner). i couldn't see her changing spindles. did some dx models come with smaller spindles?

i already figured it out. it was a 4-speed with A/C but it had to have been dealer installed. it has to be the std model
