Default Axle dilemma with EK w/B16

Hey guys,

For some reason, my passenger side axle keeps pulling out at the hub side of the axle. The B16A2 is in a '98 coupe.

I'm using '94 LS axles at the time, figuring all B-series were the same. Maybe I'm wrong, but my new theory is that the DC and EK chasis' are different in more ways than I thought. Everywhere I check, the 99-00 Civic Si axles have a different part number than the 94-01 LS axles...

Would the Si axle work for my application? I'm quite tired of these bearings pulling out on me. It's happened 3 times now.

The B16 (SI) axles will work perfectly lengthwise remember the EK has a B16 option. I am pretty sure the spline count is the same as the DX hubs you have so they should slide right in. Double check on the spline count though.

Most 94-01 LS Integras had ABS, I believe. The 99-00 Si did not. That might be why the axle part numbers are different.

In my '98 coupe, I've run both B16 and B18 axles with no issues on the street.

Maybe I don't understand your dilema correctly, but how does the axle pop out of the hub with the axle nut torqued properly and the nut staked? I have used integra B-series axles with no problems. I believe all B-series axles (94+ integras, Vtec del sols, 99-00 Civic Si) are compatible.
