Do I need special mounting or can I use the same mounts? I've noticed that the top tranny mount doesn't look like it 's gonna line up. The spacing is really tight in there. Like less then a cm between the crack pulley and the frame and same for the tranny to the frame. Is this right? n-e help would be much appreciated... |
Re: Automatic Swap (tanomack)
I'm sure it's been done but it's hard to find good solid info on auto swaps sometimes since they aren't very common. When doing a manual B series swap in a manual EG Civic, you can use the B series upper tranny mount or the stock upper tranny mount. I would imagine the same rule would apply to an auto B series tranny in an auto EG chassis: you should be able to use the stock auto or Integra auto upper tranny mount and it should line up and bolt in.

I know Place racing makes a special mount that aligns the tranny when doing a auto to manual but they don't know about auto to auto. The problem I noticed yesterday when I aligned all the mounts is that the tranny's too big. I'll try and pound the frame in like the H22 swaps and see if it fits... wish me luck!!
