Auto to Manual swap parts list for a 98 'teg?
Just trying to figure out what all i'll need for the auto to manual conversion for my 98 LS....any help would be appreciated, let me know if i'm missing something, and if these prices sound about right? Thanks guys.
LS tranny $775
Clutch
Flywheel
Clutch Master Cylinder, Slave Cylinder, lines $100
Pedals
Manual LS gauge cluster
Front console w/ shift boot
Manual ECU $150
Manual starter $100
Flywheel cover
Shift linkage $150
Manual rear, upper, and front mounts
Manual front and rear tranny bracket
Do I need to mess w/axles or anything? And should I stick to the LS tranny, or look into changing over to the GSR or type-r tranny (mmm LSD...)
Also, anyone that had this done, how much did you get charged for labor, and how long did it take? Thanks again all.

Well no direct experience, but if you have ALL the parts and crap ready to go -- shouldnt cost you more then $1000... its actually kinda labor intensive to run all the lines and mount the new goodies -- if you can, might be better off picking up like a Haynes manual for like $60 and spend a week doing it yourself to save some big bucks! But call around your area, thats really the only way to get you a price estimate! Good luck!
